TELEHOUSE Announces the Launch of its First Vietnam-based Data Center

In January, TELEHOUSE announced the launch of its first data center to service the Vietnam market, TELEHOUSE Hanoi, with operations beginning in March 2010.  Through a key strategic alliance between parent company, KDDI Corporation and FPT Information Systems, the Hanoi data center introduces a state-of-the-art facility that can meet the needs of customers seeking carrier-neutral colocation and data center space in Vietnam. With the rapid expansion of multinational corporations in Vietnam, the demand for reliable data center infrastructure that meet international standards is at an all-time high. TELEHOUSE Hanoi fulfils all of these demands.

Under this agreement, dedicated data center space in Hanoi will be opened under the TELEHOUSE brand and operated, supported and maintained by TELEHOUSE's global operating standards, which include detailed attention to power, cooling, security and customer-focused data center operations.   Offering a stable facility that meets  the demand of clients who consume large amounts of electricity, TELEHOUSE offers an N+1 power configuration, ensuring maximum redundancy in throughout the data center. In addition to a loop power distribution system from the transformer, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and backup generators, the facility is equipped with various systems, including 24/7 onsite security, biometric authentication access and a full-scale fire detection system.

AboveNet Expands into TELEHOUSE's New York Data Centers

Last month, TELEHOUSE and AboveNet went public announcing the extension of  AboveNet's low-latency fiber-optic network in TELEHOUSE’s New York facilities, providing interconnectivity between its 25 Broadway and 7 Teleport data centers. In addition to connectivity within the New York City facilities, AboveNet’s network provides low-latency connectivity solutions, critical for financial markets and media content delivery in major data center and colocation facilities in the tri-state area.
