TELEHOUSE
Announces Availability of its Global Interlink Network Service at 60 Hudson
and 111 Eighth Ave.
May 6, 2010
TELEHOUSE is pleased to announce that its Global Interlink
service will be available to customers in two of the largest
telecommunications hubs in Manhattan; 60 Hudson and 111 8th Ave. beginning
June 1st. Companies with equipment housed in either of these two data centers
can now connect via high speed Ethernet between several facilities, including
all of TELEHOUSE’s data centers in the US, UK and France at speeds up to 1
Gbps. In addition, TELEHOUSE’s Interlink service offers additional domestic
connectivity at Equinix’s facilities in Chicago, IL and Ashburn, VA as well
as Switch and Data’s facilities located in Palo Alto, CA and Dallas, TX.
This follows TELEHOUSE’s announcement in October that
unveiled plans for its initial expansion of the Global Interlink Ethernet
Network throughout the United States. Available in the U.S. at TELEHOUSE
America's data centers at 25 Broadway and 7 Teleport, TELEHOUSE expanded its
network to its own Los Angeles Center at 626 Wilshire Boulevard, in addition
to Equinix's facilities in Chicago, IL and Ashburn, VA as well as Switch and
Data's facilities located in Palo Alto, CA and Dallas, TX. With the addition
of 60 Hudson and 111 Eighth Avenue, customers colocated in each of the nine
aforementioned US data centers can interconnect via Ethernet among each
facility as well as TELEHOUSE Europe's datacenters in The Docklands, London
(North & East ); Voltaire in Paris; and Magny-les-Hameaux, in France.
Utilizing the power of Ethernet, Global Interlink meets
customer demand for cost-competitive and high-speed transatlantic
communications between TELEHOUSE’s state-of-the-art data centers in North
America and Europe. By providing client equipment with transparent Ethernet
communication, as though they were connected to the same Layer 2 switch,
customers are no longer limited by physical distances or unpredictable
circuit-size cost swings. Global Interlink provides TELEHOUSE customers’
networks with logical connectivity options in several parts of the world,
ensuring greater flexibility, bandwidth-scalability and multi-vendor support
for globalized network management.
With the continued expansion of Global Interlink, TELEHOUSE
continues to meet and exceed its customers’ increasing demands by positioning
itself as a Total Solution Provider for the global communications
marketplace. For more information about Global Interlink, or any other
services, contact our sales team at sales@telehouse.com or (718) 355-2559.
