KDDI Corp works with the Russia-Japan Cable Network to connect companies over the fastest routes possible

KDDI Corporation, a Global Fortune 500 company and worldwide leader in international telecommunications services, announced on May 18, 2011 the upgrade of KDDI Group's existing cable route between Asia and Europe to enable it to provide 10G wavelength services. The cable, which is protected end-to-end, takes the shortest possible route between Tokyo and London reducing the round-trip delay dramatically compared to routes via the Indian Ocean and the United States.
The project includes the upgrade and modernization of RJCN up to 640Gbps with respective capacity on Rostelecom's and KDDI's backbone and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.
KDDI Corporation (KDDI) signed the Agreement for upgrade and modification of the Russia-Japan Cable Network (RJCN) and Transit Europe-Asia (TEA) cable with the Russian carrier Rostelecom on April 18th in Beijing.

KDDI America and TELEHOUSE Join together to Promote New Products and Services at the Annual Plex Event

KDDI America and TELEHOUSE were recently exhibitors at the Plex Event held in the Hyatt Hotel from May 16th-18th in Dearborn, Michigan. Both companies were interested in attending after learning about Plex, an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software company, and their client base. KDDI America is working towards a partnership with Plex, which will allow them to resell ERP solutions to their Japanese customers.
An impressive 700 attendees, mostly from manufacturing companies, came to the event to network and discuss business opportunities. 'We noted many customers were related to or involved with automotive manufacturing and planning a roll out or expansion in Asia,' said Sandra de Novellis, KDDI America's Marketing Director. She continued to say, 'We look forward to creating synergy with the management team at Plex and helping their customers with needs they may have for global connectivity, networking, and other strategic initiatives such as security.'
